Delhi Art Walk of Lodi Road
For me, it was a Sunday morning well spent walking down the leafy lanes of Lodi Road looking at the splash of art works and murals on those otherwise symmetrical bland facades. Pop colours and abstract shapes draw our attention as we walk along. Some have interesting messages, climate change, clever amalgamation of symbols of two countries, protecting the environment, pollution, reclaiming air & water, mythology, puzzles and the renewal of travel imagination post covid. Curated by the Start India Foundation to make a wider audience engage with art by taking it to the streets, thus creating an "open-air art museum"
25 artists from India and all across the world were brought together to make the city more vibrant with murals. Some of them being, French artist Chifumi, LEK & Suwat, Swiss duo - Pablo Togni & Christian Rebecchi, Inkbrushnme, Aaron Li Hill, Harsh Raman, Kafeel, Yoh Nagao, Georgina Hill & Hanif Kuerishi, one of the co-founders.
If you like art in any form, this would be a charming visit and of course it’s free !
